Episode 564 - 566

The lady who answered the door is the dead boy, Shivam's, fiancée. She thinks Amar is her fiancé coming from London. She introduces herself as Gauri and asks if he doesn't remember her. She calls the family members to come and see him. Shivam's father tells Amar that he waited 12 years for this moment. Amar wonders how to tell them the news. Gauri leaves for the temple. Shivam's mother sees Amar and says he's not Shivam. Amar says she's right, he's Amar. Her husband apologises to Amar and says Gauri was a little girl when Shivam left that was why she mistook Amar for him. He asks if Amar is Shivam's friend and when Shivam will be coming. Amar says Shivam passed away. The mother's prayer tray drops from her hand. Amar and Shivam's family come to the mortuary to see the body. The father asks Amar who killed their son. Amar says their son was so happy that he was coming back home, that he jumped out of a moving bus so as to take a short cut home but he landed on his car. Shivam's brother grabs Amar by the collar accusing him of killing their brother. A policeman pulls him away and informs him that all the passengers gave statements saying Shivam was the one at fault for jumping out of the moving bus in the middle of the road. Amar offers to take the father home but he declines. Divya is still trying to call Amar. Uma asks her if he called. Divya says he hasn't called yet. Uma sits down and tells Divya that she feels Bharat and Aditi don't share the sort of relationship that couples do. Divya says Aditi is shy and Bharat has been away from the family for so long. She tells her not to worry about it.

Meanwhile, Gauri is returning from the temple with Shivam's nephew. They get to Shivam's house and it's empty. They turn to see the family as they are returning from the mortuary. Gauri asks where Shivam is. His father tells her to calm down. She asks what's wrong. His brother tells her that he has gone away. Gauri runs after Amar's car and stops him. She asks why he's going away again without spending at least one day with her. Amar is at a loss for words. Shivam's father tries to tell her that she has it all wrong. Gauri says he promised to come back to her and be with her till they die. She tells Amar that the entire village will laugh at her. She faints. They carry her into Amar's car. At Sindoora's house, the family is having dinner. Divya is still worried. Aniket assures her that Amar is fine. Divya says she wants to try to reach him on the land line. Chandra asks why she is so worried about him as though she's afraid some village girls could snatch him. Divya says she trusts her husband. Bharat looks at Divya. The doctor comes to attend to Gauri in the house. He tells the family that she will be fine but they can't tell her anything to cause her any stress. When the doctor leaves, Shivam's father tells his family that they can't tell her the truth about Shivam's death because just the thought that he was leaving made her suffer an attack. He tells Amar to help him. Amar says he will do anything. He tells Amar to stay with them for a few days and pretend to be Shivam as Gauri's condition is delicate; her heart is very weak and she had always been certain that she will marry Shivam. He begs him to just pretend for a few days till her heart heals and they will forever be indebted to him. Amar says he has a wife and family and he can imagine what they will go through. Shivam's father begs him to just help them as Gauri's parents passed away when she was still a child. Amar says okay.

On the other hand, Gauri wakes up in bed. As she gets out of bed to leave the room, Shivam's little nephew stops her and tells her to stay in bed. She asks if Shivam has left. The boy tells her that he is in the next room. She goes to peep and she sees Amar lying on the bed. She smiles and leaves. Amar picks up his phone. He wonders how he can explain what is going on to Divya. He goes outside to a corner where he can get good phone network signal and he calls Divya. She tells him she was worried. She hears a crack in his voice and asks what happens. Amar tells her that he is so confused and doesn't know what to do but he's helpless. He tells her all that happened. Gauri is watching him from the room. Amar asks Divya if he is doing the right thing. Divya assures him that he did the right thing. Gauri approaches Amar but he doesn't know she's behind him. Shivam's father calls her. Amar tells Divya that he will call her back. Shivam's father tells Gauri to allow Shivam (Amar) rest and to get him a blanket. She leaves to get the blanket. Shivam's father thanks Amar and tells him that he and the family will be going to pay their last respect to Shivam. Amar doesn't know what to say. The father walks away sadly. Divya has informed Uma and Chandra about what Amar is going through and they are sad. Uma says she wants to send Aniket and Bharat over there. Divya says they can't let the girl know that Amar is not Shivam because she has a heart condition. Shivam's family carry out the funeral rites. At the house, Gauri helps Amar to light a lamp in his room. She tells him to give her the bangles that he brought. Amar remembers there were bangles on his car's windshield when Shivam fell on it. At the funeral venue, the police hand over Shivam's bag to his father and tell him the bangles were the only things not destroyed. Back in the house, Amar wonders how he will tell Gauri that he's not the person she thinks he is. The family return home. They meet Gauri staring out of the window. Shivam's father tells her to go and rest. She tells him that Shivam is not talking to her even though she remembers him as a talkative from their childhood and he didn't bring the bangles. She asks why they all look sad. The father regrets sending his son to London because if he hadn't gone, he would still be with them. Gauri apologises for saying she was angry with Shivam. She leaves the room and his mother breaks down.
