Payal reach home and Indu asks why does she work so much. Payal's father asks her to sit and says he will do oil massage to ease her stress. Rajat starts shouting at Payal and gets Dev and Payal into more trouble with his mother when he comes to a wrong conclusion after seeing them together by telling his parents that he saw Payal romancing Dev in her office. Indu gets irked. Dev reaches there and says it is not Payal’s mistake as he went to her office late to give her gift, but she was present there and as a good manner girl she offered him tea but Rajat came there, saw them together and misunderstand them. He apologizes it is his mistake and says he will not meet Payal till the engagement and walks out. The whole family disperses. Indu tells her husband Bhuvaneshwar that he should stop Payal from meeting Dev before the marriage, else the society will badmouth about them. Payal comes there. An upset Indu tries to walk out, but Payal stops her. Indu point out to her daughter that she did not see her father before marriage and even Rajat met Alka only once before his marriage, and that even she has to follow the society rules. Payal explain to her mother that she just offered tea to Dev and Rajat saw them together. She adds that nobody is wrong except wrong the timing. Indu says she is wrong that she tries to protect her. Payal signals her father. Her father asks his wife to forget everything as Payal will be with them just for a few days now and she will miss her the most. They all 3 emotionally hug each other.

Jogeshwar plays chess and names the coins as Gulkan and other family members and he using them. Rajat on the other side tells his uncle Guddan that he feels something fishy in Jogeshwar’s family and that even after warning Dev not to meet Payal before marriage, he meets her often. He says he wants to know why Jogeshwar’s elder son and daughter-in-law not stay with him and his daughter’s marriage broke. Guddan tells his nephew that he is doubting him unnecessarily, as Jogeshar is a nice man and is not taking any dowry. Rajat who doubt Jogeshar behavior strange says what if his doubt comes true, then Payal’s life will be ruined. On hearing this, Guddan assures him that he will take Ayodhya and Gulkan’s address and investigate himself and enquire why they are staying separately. Rajat says it is a good idea. Santoshi and Guddi asks Jogeshwar how much gold and dowry they will get in Dev’s marriage. He says he did not ask for dowry from there and asks them also to be careful and not ruin his plan.

Payal reminisces Rajat scolding her and Dev’s gift. She opens the giftbox and sees pen and letter which reads Dev knows she does not consider gold precious than pen, so he gifted her a pen. She smiles. Dev’s friend, Rajesh says he got caught unncessarily by Payal’s family. Dev says he met Payal coincidentally and says they would have been scolding even Payal, so he will write an apology letter to her. Rajesh asks him to call. Dev says he will write a letter itself and asks him to deliver it.

Gulkan looks at her list and gets ready to confront natru, her father-in-law and get her dowry back. She comes out of the room and sees Ayodhya on phone. Ayodhya looks back at Gulkan and starts acting as speaking to his father servant Jugnu and tells him to tell Guddi not to commit suicide. He says he could not keep neither his parents nor his wife happy, etc. Gulkan comes there and asks what happened. He says he is a failure and could not keep her or his family happy. She asks him not to think like that. He hugs her, smirks and prays to God to get him out of this situation soon. He asks where is she going. She says nowhere.

Payal read Dev’s apology letter that he is guilty she is being scolded because of him, so he will not meet her until their engagement. She keeps the letter in her bag and goes towards the cupboard. Neelu comes there and asks her for a pen. She asks her to take it from her bag. Neelu takes Dev’s gifted pen. Payal sees that and asks her to take another pen. Neelu sees Dev’s letter and reads it loudly. Payal asks her to return her pen and letter. Neelu plays around but then gives her the letter and pen and leaves. Payal writes another letter to be given to Dev. Bhuvaneshwar’s neighbor calls Ayodhya and informs him that Bhuvaneshwar’s family members were inquiring about his address and since his wife did not know the complete address, she just told them his area address. Ayodhya gets tensed on hearing this.

Guddan and Rajat reach Ayodhya’s area and enquire Paanwala about Ayodhya. The Panwala says he does not know who Ayodhya is. They ask about Gulkan. He says he knows her as she is a very arrogant woman and is staying in his brother’s house with her husband and children. Ayodhya sees them and sends his goons to them. Ayodhya goons frighten them that they have come there for eve teasing. They start fighting with them. Guddan takes Rajat from there.

Dev reads Payal’s letter. His friend, Rajesh says because of them courier people will be happy and his sister-in-law must be praising him and asks to go and meet her. Dev reminiscing promising not to meet Payal before their engagement and tells Rajesh that he will not. Rajesh asks him not to worry, that time will fly soon. While Payal's uncle is driving the car, Rajat asks why did he stop, else he would have taught the goons a lesson. His uncle says because of him, he would have been in problem. Rajat says even now they don’t know anything about Ayodhya and Gulkan. His uncle says because of him, Payal’s marriage may be broken. Rajat says he is still not convinced with Jogeshwar’s family, and he is sure something is wrong. His uncle asks him not to think much and stop enquiring about them.

Ayodhya thanks his goons for helping him. They say they can handle even 20 people who will tease their area girls. Ayodhya gives them money and sends them off. Dev tells his mother, Santoshi and Guddi that he wants his room redecorated before his marriage according to Payal’s taste. Santoshi starts her overacting and says he is happy that he is thinking about his wife so much and that she hope her husband would have also loved her so much. Guddi taunts her that she loves her saris and jewelry than their father. Santoshi scolds her and takes her from there. Dev thinks he is lucky to have Payal as his wife.

Indu arranges Payal’s engagement items and says she needs some more. Rajat says it is enough. Neelu says she needs more pocket money and needs advance. Payal asks her to get her purse. Indu stops Neelu and says she will not get more pocket money and will have to manage with what she gives and Payal will not give them pocket money from next month. Payal asks why is she saying that. Indu approaches Payal about a sensitive issue and forces Payal to stand up for her own feelings. Indu says she has to give her salary to her in-laws from next month and that it is society rule. Payal starts crying. She asks her mother if she should speak to Dev. She says no

Jogeshwar going out of the house at night silently to meet a blanket laden man. The man turns out to be Ayodhya who touches Jogeshwar’s feet and tells him that Bhuvaneshwar’s family members were trying to enquire about Gulkan and him, but he handled the situation and if they reach Gulkan, they will know the truth and Payal will know he is Dev’s brother and will break the marriage. Jogeshwar says tough he tried his best to prank them, they are trying to know to enquire more about them. Ayodhya says he will take care of Gulkan and his father should take care of Bhuvaneshwar’s family. Jogeshwar says that is why he has kept Dev’s engagement at Bhuvaneshwar’s house and wants the marriage to finish soon. Ayodhya hugs him, takes his blessings again and leaves. Payal writes letter to Dev asking his opinion regarding her family’s pocket money. Guddi and Santoshi arrange the engagement items and Santoshi yells that she is not getting anything in dowry from Payal’s family. Guddi says she should pray Payal is not like Gulkan, else their whole plan will ruin. Santoshi with her overacting starts yelling. The postman delivers Payal’s letter. Guddi takes it from the servant and tells her mother it is Payal’s love letter for Dev. Santoshi say she had a wish of getting love letters, but Jogeshwar did not send even one letter to her. Dev comes down. Guddi gives him Payal's letter. He reads it in which Payal has asked his opinion about pocket money to her family after marriage. He replies.

Payal reads his letter and happily tells her family that Dev says he is proud of her thinking and their families are not different. Indu scolds her that already society is badmouthing that they are enjoying girl’s salary, now they will badmouth them the more. Payal says she is her daughter and after her marriage, if their relationship will be broken and asks if something happens here, will they really inform her. She asks why is she differentiating between her children. Payal's father emotionally hugs her and says this house is hers and will be hers always. He says her in-laws responsibilities will be hers and she will have to take care of them. Indu says she cannot take her salary after marriage. Payal says her father really worked hard to make her engineer and it is her right to take leave from work tomorrow.

Payal reads Dev’s letter that he is proud of her thinking and is happy that she is giving pocket money to her family, he wanted a girl who would keep his family united and she is perfect for him. Payal thinks he is respecting her more after knowing his opinion. Dev thinks she is very innocent that she is asking his opinion, he needed a life partner like her. Payal also thinks the same. Mere Nainaa song plays in the background while they continue thinking of each other. Gulkan tells her sister-in-law that she wants to go to the temple and her brother's wife agrees.

Payal’s family gets busy arranging the house for the engagement. Indu asks Alka and Neelu go get Payal ready. Guddan brings flowers for the engagement. Indu asks him to call the priest and ask to come soon. Payal's father gets emotional and tells Indu that he did not realize at all that Payal has grown up and it is her engagement today, she will leave them soon. Meanwhile, Dev’s family get ready for the engagement. Santoshi comes down getting ready and asks how is she looking. Jogeshwar says he is looking like a red monkey. She tells Dev that she wants to look beautiful than Indu. Jogeshwar asks her to pick pooja thali as they have to go to the temple before the engagement.

Payal comes out wearing a beautiful sari for her engagement. The whole family smiles seeing her. Indu says she is looking very beautiful and applies her kajal to cast evil eyes off her. Neelu jokes that Dev got mesmerized seeing her in office attire, now he will go mad seeing her in this. Payal’s assistant Satish comes there and informs her that the commissioner has called her. Indu blunt out that today is her engagement. Satish says her leave is cancelled.

Payal’s assistant Satish informing her that her leave has been cancelled and she will have to attend commissioner’s meeting. Indu says she cannot go. Satish says it is a very important meeting. Payal says she will go. Bhuvaneshwar says he will call and check when Jogeshwar and family will come here. He calls and asks Jogeshwar when will they reach here. Jogeshwar says he just left home and will come after going to the temple. Bhuvaneshwar relaxes and tells Payal to attend the commissioner’s meeting and to come back before Dev’s family reaches. She leaves, while Indu still continues to stop her that she cannot go to office on her engagement day.
